Project Info

The project aims to present a fruitful dialogue between France and Bulgaria and encourage the exchange of art works in which paper is both an inspiration and a reflection of the artistic stance.

The organizations Traffic d’Art (Strasbourg) and Аdvertising Аrtists (Sofia) collaborate directly on the topic and present ten local artists each whose works are inspired by paper.

The underlying idea is that every piece is the result of the author’s personal pursuit and does not boil down to an illustration of a historical fact or the search for an aesthetically interesting artefact. Paper is a body of ideas, heritage, preserved culture, thought, religion, history and art.
